earl grey latte w/ lavender simple syrup

Nothing better than a big, cozy cup of tea on a rainy day in.

While a good cup of joe, or a cafe con leche will always hit the spot, I’m a sucker for tea. And this take on the classic London Fog latte will have you on cloud nine in no time! I make this latte using almond milk (as I do all my lattes) because I have never been a fan of regular milk. As a child, my parents would have to disguise milk with Nesquick in order to fool me into drinking it. And now as an adult I can do as I please haha!

INGREDIENTS / TOOLS

  • earl grey tea (i used loose leaf tea, but i’ve also used bagged tea before)

  • water for tea

  • milk of choice (i used almond)

  • frother (i got my hand frother from ikea, super affordable!)

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tablespoons food grade lavender buds (i got mine from Whole Foods in Chelsea, NY | amazon sells them as well)

  • glass container or mason jar
